Alfonzo Dennard once looked like a first-round pick, but after what he just did, he could see himself falling all the way to the fourth round now as the former Nebraska cornerback was arrested for punching a cop.
The 22-year-old finished with 31 tackles last season and could’ve seen himself at least in the second round.
His off-season hasn’t been so good, either. Just before it, he threw punches at South Carolina receiver Alshon Jeffrey in the Capitol One bowl. Then he had that 4.55 40-yard dash time, which won’t fit him too well considering his size at 5-10 and 200 pounds. He also didn’t do so well in the Senior Bowl, either.
With all of this, and the arrest, his draft stock has really fell.
Looks like he’s going to have to hope for the best next week.
