Florida State cornerback Jalen Ramsey, one of the top defenders in America, has announced that he will enter the 2016 NFL Draft, the school announced Tuesday.
“Today, after having in-depth discussions with my parents, my coaches and others whom I hold dear to my heart, I am announcing my decision to pursue my dream, forgo my senior year of football at Florida State and declare for the 2016 NFL Draft,” Ramsey said in a statement.
“There are no words to describe how much I have enjoyed my time in Tallahassee, and more specifically here at Florida State. Since the first day I stepped foot on campus, I knew I made the right decision and found my second home. From the war chants and tomahawk chops that send chills shooting down my spine, to running out of the tunnel or being on the track with my teammates, I have found that there is no greater feeling than being a Seminole!”
The junior corner is expected to be a top-10 pick. For his career, he collected 180 tackles, 23 pass breakups and three interceptions.
