Kevin Durant will be a free agent in July, and many are wondering if he'll pull a LeBron James and come home to D.C. to play for the Washington Wizards.
Wizards star point guard John Wall revealed to The Vertical on how he and new head coach Scott Brooks—who used to coach Durant back on the Oklahoma City Thunder—plan to woo KD back to the DMV.
“I feel if [Brooks] can make a pitch, and I can make a pitch and [Durant] comes, it’s great. I think we do need another star here, another great player to [get over] that next hump. You need three stars to win this league.
“If he comes, he comes, if not, got to make other plans. But that’s something I haven’t talked to him about. I’m not willing to right now. He just came off a tough series. I’m trying to give him a couple of weeks, a month off, to think about what he wants to do.”
Reports have came out that Durant doesn't plan to give the Wizards any consideration, as he wants no part of coming home and dealing with pressure of bringing a title to his hometown.
