This is a conversation that me and several of my peers are constantly having, and it’s good to see that folks across the country are having it as well.
In this new day and time, supermarkets are making it convenient for you to shop and purchase healthy and nutritious food online as long as you are paying with cash or credit card.
Terrell Owens and Brendan Ayanbadejo (who grew up on food stamps) are both big supporters of Thrive Market, which is the first online store that makes organic products available to all at wholesale prices.
Thrive Market's petition is to get the USDA to allow food stamps to be used online. It’s an issue that affects 46 million Americans (1 in 5 kids), many of whom have NO access to healthy food.
Being able to buy and purchase online would solve the problem, but food stamps cannot be used online which makes no sense when many families using the access card don’t have reliable transportation.
Thrive Market has a mission to make healthy living easy and affordable for everyone, despite location or income class.
Thrive Market has investors like Justin Timberlake, Will Smith, John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, Sofia Vergara, Zoe Saldana and Demi Moore.
Owens and Ayanbadejo both created these hilarious videos:
In addition to Owens and Ayanbadejo, several other celebs have jumped on board in support including Rosario Dawson, Kristen Bell, Shailene Woodley, Jordana Brewster, Russell Simmons, Jillian Michaels and Whitney Port.
