As an Indiana Pacers fan, I find this news exciting.
The NBA announced the that they will host yet another game in London's O2 Arena in January. Two small-market teams, the Pacers and Denver Nuggets, will square off on January 12, 2017.
“We are thrilled to return for our seventh regular-season game in London,” Adam Silver said in a statement on NBA.com. “With almost 25 percent of players in the NBA born outside of the United States, we are seeing firsthand the global growth of our game, which has never been more popular in the U.K.”
The Pacers have a nice core in Paul George, Monta Ellis, Jeff Teague, Thaddeus Young and Myles Turner. Meanwhile, the Nuggets boast a squad that features Emmanuel Mudiay, Nikola Jokic, Gary Harris and others.
Should be a good game and great exposure for both teams.
