Atlanta police said Ole Miss defensive lineman Robert Nkemdiche is in stable condition after falling from the fourth-floor window of a local hotel.
After responding to a call that a male had fallen from a hotel room window at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead, Atlanta police found the All-SEC draft prospect conscious and breathing and transported Nkemdiche to Grady Memorial Hospital.
The Atlanta Police Department added that police found a small amount of what was suspected to be marijuana in the hotel room.
Police reported to ESPN.com that the hotel room window was broken. The report adds that “it appears that the victim broke the window and then walked approximately 15 feet and climbed over a wall and fell approximately 15 feet.”
Police reported finding a small amount of suspected marijuana inside the room. No charges had been filed as of Sunday afternoon.
Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze said in a statement. “We are still learning about the matter, but obviously Robert’s well-being is our greatest concern.”
Nkemdiche attended Grayson High School, just outside Atlanta in Loganville.
A probable top-five NFL draft pick, the All-American’s behavior is concerning to some.
