A new lawsuit says that point guard, Jamaal Tinsley, had to run away from the 2007 shooting, leaving the Indiana Pacers equipment manager behind in Tinsley's Rolls-Ryce. In the back seat, Joey Quatato was trapped and suffered gunshots in both of his elbows. The gunman fired it outside the Conrad hotel in Indianapolis.
In Qatato's lawsuit, Tinsley and the car driver are right now responsible for his injuries. The suit claims that the back door locks can only be controlled by the car driver, no one else. The men ignored Qatato.
They knew he was back there," said Greg Hahn, one of Qatato's attorneys. "It was basically every man for himself. He was banging on the door. . . . It's a miracle he didn't get killed."
Soon, the gunman escaped. No suspects were identified, neither, and Qatato was the only man injured. Then came Tinsley's lawyer, James Voyles, who had not reviewed the lawsuit, which was filed last week in court.
"We'll put forth all the defenses on his behalf that we feel are appropriate," he said.
On December ninth, 2007, two cars chased three of Tinsley's. It was reported that three thugs harassed Tinsley because of his wealth and jewelry. It was a big confrontation in the Cloud Nine club.
When Tinsley's cars reached the hotel, another report came that the gunman shot at two cars owned by Tinsley: a Dodge-Charger and the Rolls-Ryce.
Indianapolis Star Reports this:
"Friends in the Charger and another Tinsley car, a Mercedes CL6, chased the attackers to Monument Circle, where his brother, James Tinsley, returned fire. Qatato's lawsuit names Jamaal Tinsley and the Rolls' driver, Mitchell H. Smith, who Hahn said is Tinsley's cousin. Its claims include negligence, reckless misconduct, infliction of emotional distress and false imprisonment.Qatato has needed several surgeries, Hahn said, and has permanent impairment in his arms. Qatato, who still works for the Pacers, declined to be interviewed."

Jamaal Tinsley, who did not do anything last year, is still under contract with the Pacers for two more years, after having his best year in the 2006-2007 season.
With that said, Tinsley still leads the NBA in 911 calls like the comic strip has said.
Am I right?
