Hey guys! I will now be covering the Indianapolis Indians of the Minor League Baseball League. Here is my very first article for them! Let's go!

Indians knocked out the Knights in a 10-2 win! Bill Gentry/IndyIndians.com

The Indians were just spectacular on Friday night when they hosted the Charlotte Knights. For most part of the game, the Indians were just owning on the mound. Most of the stuff came from Luis Cruz, especially in the second inning.

Cruz captured a two-run homer to make it a four-run inning in the second. Ty Taubenheim (2-4) was a monster, earning the win by only allowing one run and seven hits while playing in six innings.

When he left, there were no worries at all because then came Brian Slocum, who ended the day for the Indians by only giving up only one run and allowing three hits in three innings.

Not so great, I know.

"We pitched our game," Tribe catcher Erik Kratz told the Indianapolis Star. "When we struggle on the mound, I feel we try to pitch more to the weakness of the hitter than to the strength of our pitchers. Tonight, Ty came right at the hitters and attacked the zone with the stuff he had and was able to stay away from 2-0 and 3-0 counts. Even when Slocum came in, we continued to attack the zone."

Yes they did. They did attack the zone, greatly.

Garrett Jones started out the second inning, firing up the Indians with his single and a stolen base at second. And now back to Cruz, who made the home-run, his second of the year to lead the Indians to victory.

Just when things were going great for Indy in the seconds, things got worse for Charlotte in the fifth as the Indians scored three runs in it. Star, Andrew McCutchen homered, followed by Brian Bixler and Jeff Salazar singles.

Just when Charlotte thought it was done, the seventh was torturing as well as three runs were scored in there. Bixler led off with a single and scored because of a double by Salazar. It was a great game for Indy and they look pummel the Knights today at 7:15.

Watch out, Charlotte!
