Jean Pascal defeated Adrian Diaconu in a twelve-round hard-fought match-up as he won by a unaminous decision to win the WBC Light-Heavyweight title. Three judges scored for Pascal by winning it in an average score of 116-112.
In front of over 13,000 fans, Pascal proved he was a much better boxer than Diaconu. As well as the defeat, Pascal also included a knock-out which looked like a sealed victory already from there.
But it wasn't actually over. In the eleventh round, Diaconu came back at Pascal by a right-jab towards the jaw of Pascal which brought the crowd right up to their feet.
It was one heck of a match-up.
In twelfth, Diaconu was out of energy and was all drenched in blood (not really). He just wasn't ready in that round to get after Pascal as Jean won it.
Diaconu, who looked like a winner in the match-up with an undefeated record, fell to 26-1. But with Diaconu defeated, Pascal is the boxer to defeat.
