With the Pirates already leading the series against the Giants so far, 2-0, it’s time for them to end this series with a sweep today at 1:35 PM. ESPN Accuscore reports that the Giants have a 54 percent chance of winning while Pittsburgh are the underdogs at 46.
Oh come on ESPN, you always have to be hatin’ on all of my favorite teams. You always have to hate on everyone, especially the Pirates. Everyone is always hates on the Pirates and it just literally bothers me. Oh well, you can’t get everything you want.
Garrett Jones has an estimated 20 percent chance of hitting home run as yesterday he didn’t have anything but one hit. Can Jones still prove he’s elite, even though I think he still pretty much is.
After yesterday’s defeat, the Pirates have a great chance of getting it on the San Francisco. There’s going to be a much a bigger showdown in the pitcher’s area in which Matt Cain battles for San-Fran while Zach Duke looks to get the win for Pittsburgh.
Both of these guys have been playing well this year and it’s going to be a pretty tough matchup…or not. The Pirates have been 3-7 in his last ten games, which isn’t good at all. Which makes it worse is that they only scored 25 runs during that bout.
“We need to obviously swing the bats better and score some more runs so our guys don’t have to throw shutouts,” Jack Wilson told ESPN, who also will be coming back to play for the Pirates.
It’s going to be a pretty good game today and I’ll love to see how it turns out. And hopefully, so will you. Watch out for Zach Duke, and definitely watch out for Garrett Jones.
