On Friday, veteran point guard Jason Williams became unrestricted free-agent, after the New York Knicks failed to sign him which leaves 29 other NBA teams in contention to sign him, Marc Stein reports.
With the Knicks not taking a bid for Williams, two other teams would like to take a nab at him.
Those teams would most probably the Orlando Magic and the Memphis Grizzlies.
Michael Heisley, the Grizzlies owner, says he would love to have Williams on the team.
Willliams would be a pretty good fit with Grizzlies due to there might be a possibility of Allen Iverson not coming to the team, now that the Miami Heat have been showing interest in him.
I think him returning to his old team would be nice.
Williams could also be a good fit with the Orlando Magic as he can be a good helpful point guard to Jameer Nelson.
All his NBA career; he has played with the Sacramento Kings, Memphis Grizzlies, and the Miami Heat.
Williams also had won an NBA Finals ring back in the 2005-06 season in which the Miami Heat beat the Dallas Mavericks, 4-2, in the Finals.
Williams has averaged 11.4 points, 6.3 assists, and 2.4 rebounds in his career.
Let's see if he can add on to that, if he can fall with either the Grizzlies, Magic, or any other team that may show interest in him.
I wish all the luck to him.
