ESPN.com Insider is reporting that the Dallas Cowboys have shown interest in former Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Matt Jones.
There were talks surrounding Jones with the Cowboys this off-season, but owner Jerry Jones says he didn't want to have anything to do with him and move on with a future with his receivers in Roy Williams and Patrick Crayton.
But with Williams injured at practice, in which the Dallas Morning News says he has a shoulder sprain, Dallas is making a decision on signing the 6'6" receiver out Arkansas.
But besides the Jags, Adam Schefter reports that three other teams are speaking of interest in him. The Baltimore Ravens have been ringing and so have the New York Jets, in which both teams are also paying a close attention towards Brandon Marshall as well.
Matt Jones had his best year last year, catching 65 balls for 761 yards and two touchdowns. For a first-round pick, Jones has been a bit of disappointment and after his scuffles off-the-field this off-season, things aren't swell with him lately.
But hopefully, there may be a team lurking out there to give him a chance at playing football again.
