ESPN.com Insider reports that Minnesota Vikings quarterback Tarvaris Jackson has had seven teams interested in him for a trade. The teams include the Green Bay Packers, St. Louis Rams, New Orleans Saints, Cincinnati Bengals, Chicago Bears, and Buffalo Bills. Jason La Canfora investigated and figured out that all those teams that I have just mentioned could all be contenders for bringing in T-Jack.
Jackson has also been wanted by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League, in which he may have a chance of being a starting quarterback. He also may have a chance of becoming a starter with the Rams as well. Jackson had a great preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs a couple of days ago as he went twelve-of-15 for 202 yards and two touchdowns, including an amazing, perfect 158.3 quarterback rating.
Before the preseason game on Friday, Jackson would have been traded for no better than just a little fifth round NFL draft pick. But after that impressive performance, I think he the Vikings may get better out of this deal if they were actually to trade him. I would be very happy if I were T-Jack and if he were traded. First things first, Vikings fans really don't give a damn about him. They just boo him. Second of all, he has a chance of being a starter with some teams actually.
Many teams like Tarvaris as a backup because he is actually better that way, like I observed in my previous article about this quarterback who has a cool nickname, which, of course, is T-Jack. But there may be some positives if he were to stay with the Vikings, though, because Brett Favre can be a good mentor towards him.
Right now, we'll see what happens. Jackson has been wanted by seven teams. He has more trade interests than players that are better than him, guys like Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall. I wish all the luck to my man Tarvaris, and hopefully, some good is going to come out of all of this.
