But that wasn't the only one, this was where the drama continued.
In 2007, the Vikings' tight end made a large amount of errors as he was dropping one catchable ball after another.
Suddenly early mid-season last year, he started to make corrections.
He was actually starting to improve.
He was actually starting to improve a lot.
His very rough hands of missing catchable balls started to turn, in what NFL Gridirion Gab called it, "soft pillows" in which he can catch almost anything, even a fridge probably (not really).
By the end of last season, he was leading the NFC tight ends with seven touchdown catches.
Here is what Bobby Wade has to say:
“He’s come really far. That first year was really tough trying to get acclimated to the offense, trying to find a way to get balls, being comfortable with the position he was playing. But last year was really big. I think he really stepped up. I think he took a lot of the responsibility on his back, as far as making plays on the field and in the seams. I think he really did that.”
Shiancoe is looking towards a bright year next year and is looking to be a much better tight end as well.
Watch out for Shiancoe tearing it up on the NFL turf for the Minnesota Vikings as he will be catching some good passes from Tarvaris Jackson or Sage Rosenfels.
