The Indiana Hoosiers shined in their 19-13 victory over the Eastern Kentucky Colonels at Memorial Stadium.

Wide receiver Tandon Doss had one heck of a game, catching eight catches for 125 yards, all of them, but one, coming in the first half! DaMarlo Belcher also had a night to remember, ramming in six catches for 97 yards and one touchdown. The running game fell flat, as running Demetrius McCray ran for 49 yards on 13 carries.

Although there were some negatives, there was a positive that topped all of the negatives combined. The player that bedazzled at Memorial Stadium will, no doubt, had to be junior quarterback Ben Chappell.

Chappell went 26-of-37 for 326 passing yards along with one touchdown and two interceptions. Although the touchdown-interception ratio may not be all that commanding, though he did still perform well overall.

But after his profound act, it does bring me to something. Is Ben Chappell what IU is feasting for? My answer to that inquiry would have to be, by all means, yes.

ESPN is even giving some credit to the quarterback. Chappell is predicted to throw for 3,912 yards, twelve touchdowns, and go 324-of-432. He will also be predicted to be a sacked to a chump change of twelve this year.

Last year, he did a great job filling in for Kellen Lewis, throwing for over 1,000 yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions, and going 80-of-153. I think Chappell is good to go for IU. He is going to have a good two years with the squad, and I hope he makes the most of it.

So yes, I think Ben Chappell will be alright at starter for IU.
