NBA Fantasy November Awards: Westbrook, Gasol, Paul Shine

No one has been able to stop Pau Gasol this season, making him the MVP of November.

 The first full month of the season is finally in the books and there are plenty of awards to be handed out. For all the great performances we saw, there were also forgettable ones. Let’s jump right in and begin our November awards for the 2010 fantasy basketball season.

Most Valuable Player: Pau Gasol, PF/C, Los Angeles Lakers

Obviously there were plenty of candidates for this award but Gasol’s production, combined with his draft position (end of the first round in most leagues) makes him the MVP through the league’s first month. His percentages for a center-eligible player (53.8 from the field, 82.0 from the line), as well as his 4.1 assists per game are the first stats that jump out at you, but he also gets it done in other categories. He’s averaging 21.1 points, 11.2 rebounds, 2.1 blocks, and just 1.8 turnovers. The return of Andrew Bynum might slow him down a little, but November was all Gasol, all the time.

Least Valuable Player: Dwyane Wade, PG/SG, Miami Heat
