The talks keep coming up more and more now. Now we are back into the discussion of the Carmelo Anthony trade rumors. According to Chris Broussard of ESPN, the Minnesota Timberwolves have joined the talks of a trade that sends Anthony to the New York Knicks.
The trade goes as follows:
New York Gets: Carmelo Anthony
Denver Gets: Corey Brewer, Wilson Chandler, First-round draft pick
Minnesota Gets: Anthony Randolph, Eddy Curry
Hoops World reported recently that if Minnesota goes through with getting Curry, they look to waive him or something along those lines.
Anthony would be a part of a extend-and-trade deal, which means he will be signing a three-year, $65 million extension once he gets traded to New York.
Sources told ESPN that owner James Dolan has been pushing Donnie Walsh to go for Melo. Pressure keeps getting put on Walsh.
Would a trade happen?
I guess we'll see as the trade deadline comes closer and closer.
