A 45-year-old man named Donald Watson (above) was seen walking around naked in people's backyards in a neighborhood in Springfield. He would eventually go steal some clothing from a man's house and invade his home.

The man's name was Jason Chambers, and Watson stole the gear, which turned out to be Kansas Jayhawks gear. Chambers called it one of his most prized possessions.

Chambers said that was his lucky outfit he wore during the Jayhawks 2008 run to the National Championship, as they ended up winning it all.

After the incident was reported, the Kansas Jayhawks quickly contacted Chambers.

"We felt sorry for Jason, particularly since his clothes were desecrated in the manner they were," said Jim Marchiony, associate athletics director at KU.

They talked about Chambers' sizes and said that Chambers is to expect some new gear in a package sometime soon.

"Any fan as loyal as that should be rewarded," he said.

Chambers would soon receive the clothes, but it was ripped up and tortured after a police dog scuffled with Watson.

He does get his gear back, but I don't think he will be wearing it at all.

"But it's not like I'm ever gonna wear 'em again."
