Jamal Coombs-McDaniel must be a very happy man. His UConn Huskies team rode (no pun intended) high to the championship this year with a huge 53-41 victory over the Butler Bulldogs.
But right now, Coombs-McDaniel shouldn't be happy anymore, and neither will Jim Calhoun soon, as he was arrested for marijuana. 420 was yesterday, so I wouldn't that he had 5.6 grams of it.
He was released on a $500 bond and will be going to court on May 5.
"We are aware of the arrest of Jamal Coombs-McDaniel, but beyond that have no further comment at this time," said Kyle Muncy, a spokesman for the Connecticut basketball program.
Coombs-McDaniel averaged 5.6 points and 2.7 rebounds per game with UConn this past season.
