And if the fight wasn't enough, the post-game interview was even more exciting. The ending of the Mayweather-Ortiz fight created a lot of controversy after Ortiz headbutted Mayweather. Ortiz would then apologize, and just a few seconds after, Mayweather sucker-punched and then knocked out Ortiz to get his 42nd win.
Obviously, it was a classless act and I'm surprised the ref let this go as a legal act, but I think Money Mayweather would have won this anyway. My father has already lost all the respect for Mayweather and already wants Manny Pacquiao beat his ass. And I hope a Pacquiao-Mayweather fight comes soon.
But with that out of the way, the post-game interview was the best. It was probably the best post-game/fight interview I have ever seen. Mayweather went all HAM at Larry Merchant, cussing him out. What really made it more exciting and got me off my seat was when Merchant said, "I wish I was 50 years younger so I can kick your ass."
Meanwhile, Ortiz smiles throughout the whole thing.
If you missed it, it's right here:
With that interview, it makes me forget about Pacquiao and Mayweather. Let's see Floyd hit it up with Merchant!
