Greg Norman, team captain of the U.S. Team for the President's Cup, says that he would have picked PGA Championship winner Keegan Bradley over Tiger Woods for the final two selections on the team.
"No, I wouldn't have [picked Tiger], to tell you the truth," Norman said. "I think Keegan Bradley was much more deserving of one of the two spots that were available. He's a major championship winner; he's won a couple of times this year."
Bradley has been playing solid this season. Woods has shown improvement in his game, judging from the Frys.com Open, but blew his momentum stance in the match after falling in the final round.
"I can understand the name of Tiger Woods and his history of what he's done on the golf course. But me, as a captain, I pick the guys I think who are ready to get in there and play, who have performed to the highest of levels leading up to it," Norman explained.
Woods recently fell to 52 in the world ranking, but Bradley still has a shot to be on the team. If Steve Stricker is still hurting with his neck injury, the spot will go to Bradley.
This is probably another sign that Woods may need to step his game up.
