Recent trade rumors swirling around the Denver Broncos have the team shopping wide receiver Brandon Lloyd for a potential third-, fourth- or fifth-round pick.
The news of Lloyd being put on the trade block comes just days after head coach John Fox named second-year quarterback Tim Tebow as the starter over veteran Kyle Orton, who led the team to a 1-4 start.
Sports Illustrated's NFL guru Peter King has mentioned the Tennessee Titans as a "logical landing spot" for Lloyd, this according to Rotoworld.com.
The Titans lost top receiver Kenny Britt for the season to a knee injury in Week 3 against the Denver Broncos, and would likely have plenty of interest in Lloyd, the NFL's leading receiver from a season ago.
Although Tennessee would be a great fit for Lloyd, playing alongside veteran quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, sources much closer to the Titans believe management would be unwilling to part with a third-round pick in exchange for the 30-year-old Lloyd.
Still, given the Broncos' attitude towards shopping Lloyd the past few days, it's likely he will end up somewhere else by the start of Week 7, as mentioned by Rotoworld.com.
The trade deadline is quickly approaching and the Titans are still in contention to challenge for the playoffs. At 3-2 they sit tied atop the AFC South with the Houston Texans.
Lloyd leads Denver in 2011 with 19 catches for 283 yards.
