The Indianapolis Star's Bob Kravitz took a sit down with Peyton Manning, discussing about his future with the Indianapolis Colts. According to Kravitz, Manning described the Colts facilities as "not a very good enviroment." Manning also says he has "no idea" about his future with the team.
"I'm not in a very good place for healing, let's say that," he told the newspaper. "It's not a real good environment down there right now, to say the least. Everybody's walking around on eggshells. I don't recognize our building right now. There's such complete and total change."
Manning also had a chance to meet new general manager, Ryan Grigson. Grigson told Manning that he will not make a decision on him, and that it will be team owner, Jim Irsay.
A lot of changes have came to Indy. It started off with the Polians fired, then Jim Caldwell. Could Manning be next? Everyone has been saying that, but to me, I don't think it will happen. With a guy like Irsay, he's gonna be loyal and will keep Manning.
Manning has expressed he wants to stay Indy, and I think he will end up doing so.
The question is what will the Colts do with the NFL Draft. Take Andrew Luck, or trade the pick for three or four more early-round picks? Listen, there's gonna be future quarterbacks in the future. Sure, they say Luck is one-of-a-kind, but no one said that about Brady or Kurt Warner, who were 6th rounders and an ex-grocery-bagger.
We'll see what happens. But in my opinion, I don't see No. 18 going anywhere.
