In such a short span of time, Jeremy Lin has now become an international superstar. With that, most of his family in Taiwan has been, shall I say, annoyed. Lin came out today and told the media of Taiwan to leave their family alone and give them their privacy.
“The special request I have is for the media back in Taiwan to give (my family) space, because they can’t even go to work without being bombarded, without people following them,” Lin told Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports. “I want people to respect their privacy.”
His 85-year-old grandmother, Lin Chu Muen, lives in the Taipei region with the rest of Lin's family. They probably have had everyone on them asking questions and stuff and I can see why Lin has gone towards this action.
Lin so far has been balLIN, with 24.6 points and 8.9 assists averaged in eight games, where he is 7-1 in. He is just coming off a fabulous victory over the Dallas Mavericks yesterday, where he put up 28 points and 14 assists as New York knocked off Dirk Nowitzki's crew, 104-97.
In other news, Lin also says he accepts the apology from ESPN, where they posted an offensive headline on their mobile web platforms the other day.
