Torry Holt has always been one of my favorite receivers to watch. I haven't seen him play in forever, but according to Pro Football Talk, the veteran will sign a contract with the St. Louis Rams.
However, it's not what you think. Holt's playing days are now over and he plans to retire as a member of the team where he helped create the Greatest Show On Turf.
Holt played from 1999-2009, where he had a strong ten years with the Rams before heading to Jacksonville for a year. He will finish his career as a seven-time Pro Bowler, a Super Bowl champion, and with 920 catches for 13,382 yards and 74 touchdowns.
Hopefully, Holt can get his nod to Canton and become a Hall-of-Famer. It will take a while, since receivers have a tough time getting in (cough cough, Cris Carter).
We're gonna miss you Holt, and that freaky finger:
