The NBA has been interested before and has looked into having advertisements on their team's jerseys, kind of like what the squads do overseas.
“I’ve been trying to tell [the NBA],” Cuban tells the Star-Telegram. “If someone wants to give us $10 million, I’ll make it happen….
“If the amount’s enough, David (Stern) will jump up and down,” Cuban said. “He’s not going to do it for $200,000 from Power Balance, but if somebody offers us $25 million, it’s done. We just have to work out the split with all the teams so everybody gets the benefits.”
I, for one, would not like this. The NBA already has enough advertisements on the arenas, even having names after it. Also, have you seen those NASCAR jerseys? Those look ugly with the ads flying everywhere. Besides, would you want to be wearing an NBA jersey like the photo above? Or some Heat jersey with an Oscar Mayer ad on it?
Not a fan.
