Kobe Bryant had to go through a tough process this season with both of his closest teammates leaving. First, it was Lamar Odom being traded to the Dallas Mavericks. Then it was Derek Fisher going to Rockets, then getting bought out to sign with the Thunder.
For Bryant, he said it was a difficult time.
According to NBA.com, Bryant is really hoping to bring them back to the team:
Kobe Bryant is planning a hard push to recruit Derek Fisher and Lamar Odom back to the Lakers as free agents in the summer, a source familiar with Bryant’s thinking told NBA.com as Fisher prepares to return to Staples Center as a member of the Thunder.
Whether either would be receptive is unclear – Fisher and Odom loved their seasons in Los Angeles, but were hurt to be traded within the last 3 ½ months. It is known, however, that Bryant plans to use his close friendship with both to convince them that a reunion is in everyone’s best interest, bruised egos and all.
It'd be nice if he can bring them both back, but it seems unlikely. Fisher has nothing left in the tank now and is most likely pushing towards retirement as it seems like at the end of this season.
The only way he can be with Los Angeles is if he barely plays, as the Lakers make their transition under new point guard, Ramon Sessions. Along with that, Odom has struggled and may not want to return despite his friendship with Kobe after he was betrayed earlier this season during the debunked Chris Paul trade.
What do you think? Do you see any of these guys returning to LA?
