The Portland Trail Blazers have made several moves today, as they sent forward Gerald Wallace to the New Jersey Nets. Along with that, they have also fired head coach, Nate McMillan.

The Blazers will receive Mehmet Okur and Shawne Williams in the trade. Wallace was rumored to be traded to Orlando before this season started that would send Dwight Howard to the Nets.

However, with Howard now staying in Orlando for next season, New Jersey is desperate to get a good player to help keep Deron Williams as the team makes their move to Brooklyn. This could be good enough, but we'll see how the season goes.

With Blazers also firing their head coach now, assistant Keith Canales will be the interim. Portland has been struggling this year, as they currently stand at 20-23, so this move looked like it had to be necessary.

UPDATE: Portland has also traded Marcus Camby to the Houston Rockets in exchange for Jonny Flynn, Hasheem Thabeet, and a second-round draft pick.
