The Washington Wizards, Los Angeles Clippers, and Denver Nuggets finalized a three-team deal to complete the final day of NBA trading today as the Wizards acquired Nene Hilario.
Along with that, Washington receives Brian Cook and a second-round pick from LA. The Nuggets will get Javale McGee and Ronny Turiaf while the Clips get Nick Young.
This trade comes as surprise, since the Nuggets gave Hilario a big extension this off-season of five years for $67 million. However, Denver saves cap space with McGee in, who'll help out a lot. Turiaf can give some help off the bench.
As for John Wall, he loses his scorer in Young and his big man as his team continues to struggle this season. However, they had to be dealt as their play was deemed selfish and undisciplined. With the addition of Hilario, maybe it can help.
As for the Clippers, getting Young is a huge bonus to help out their bench and fill a need at shooting guard after Chauncey Billups' season-ending injury.
