After missing out on Reggie Wayne, the New England Patriots have signed former St. Louis Rams wide receiver Brandon Lloyd to a three-year, $12 million contract.

Lloyd will join Josh McDaniels in New England. McDaniels was Lloyd's head coach during his time in Denver, where he had a career season in 2010.

"I'm ready for work," Lloyd told CSN New England on Saturday night. "The time for talking is done. I couldn't be more excited."

The Patriots have also signed former Colt, Anthony Gonzalez, along with former Raiders defensive end, Trevor Scott.

Lloyd was traded to the Rams last season after the Broncos made their switch to the Tim Tebow-style offense. In eleven games with St. Louis, he caught 51 passes for 683 yards along with five touchdowns.

He will now join Tom Brady, where he is sure to get catches.
