The Peyton Manning sweepstakes is coming towards a close now as the Arizona Cardinals have dropped out of the race; joining the Dolphins, Redskins, and the Jets.

Friday at 4 PM, the Cards decided to give quarterback Kevin Kolb the $7 million roster bonus, ensuring now that they will move on him with him as being their franchise guy.

As for Manning, the four-time MVP is now down to three teams. Two have been the obvious ones, with the Denver Broncos and Tennessee Titans. Denver offered Manning a five-year, $60 million deal, but according to the rumors, Manning rejected and is looking for an offer much like the one he signed with the Colts recently.

However, one surprising team came up yesterday in the San Francisco 49ers, who have worked out the veteran.

It's going to be interesting to see where Manning goes. As for the Cardinals, they'll be rolling with Kolb as their man for the future.

What do you think? Good move by Cards?
