Peyton Manning is a four-time NFL MVP and has been playing like an All-Pro since he first stepped foot on the field. Now he plans to give the Broncos a championship they haven't had since John Elway brought them one over a decade ago.
Manning was asked by Elway if he can still play at a high level. A MVP-level.
His response?
Manning has been questioned about the level of his play since his neck injury. But he plans to prove everyone wrong.
“If the doctors said, ‘Hey, you shouldn’t go out there,’ that’s it. That’s the end of it,” Manning said. “That’s a short conversation. I’ve kind of asked them to say that. It’s just not the case.”
In fact, all of Manning's doctors including ones from the team's he visited (49ers, Broncos, Titans) says he is completely OK to play now.
“That’s what they tell me. The nice thing is that the doctors of three different teams have told me essentially the same thing,” Manning said.
Manning just turned 36 years old yesterday and signed to a five-year, $96 million deal with Denver a week ago.
What do you think? Do you still see Manning playing at a high level?
