Ricky Rubio has been quite a show as the Minnesota Timberwolves' point guard, averaging about eleven points and eight assists so far on the season.

However, yesterday in a 105-102 loss to the Lakers, Rubio injured his right knee. He was guarding Kobe Bryant. Bryant collided into him as he tried to dribble, making Rubio fall and grab his knee quickly. He was later taken to the bench.

After having an MRI, Rubio is reported to have a torn ACL, which ruins a lot of things for the T-Wolves this season, as they were riding on a hopeful-playoff-season under Rubio and Kevin Love leading the way.

The Timberwolves will now have to make the best of things the rest of the way this season, and this week as Love has back spasms which ruled him out yesterday.

The 21-year-old has been having a tremendous season and it's sad to see that this has happened to him. Hopefully he can make a big bounceback next season, because it's truly a tragedy if an injury like this derails his career.

Best of luck to Rubio and the Timberwolves. Hope things get better for them after a strong push so far this year.
