Just a few days ago, Tim Duncan was labeled on NBA.com's boxscore as "DND - OLD" as he missed a game for the San Antonio Spurs. However, the power forward did put on a clinic last night against the Sacramento Kings in the team's 117-112 victory.
Duncan surely did not play old at all in the game, showing signs of speed and athleticism, showing that he still has stuff left in the tank. He would go on to have 18 points and eight rebounds in the game.
Kings center, DeMarcus Cousins, was definitely impressed with how Duncan played. Here's what he said, according to the Sacramento Bee, after the game:
At one point Wednesday night, Kings center DeMarcus Cousins, 21, turned to San Antonio Spurs power forward Tim Duncan, 35, and complimented him as only Cousins could.Damn right he's good. Duncan is still going strong, with 15 points and nine rebounds averaged per game.
"(Expletive) you're good," Cousins recalled saying.
