Alex Ovechkin didn't play much in the third period of the Washington Capitols' 2-1 victory over the Boston Bruins. In fact, in 14 minutes, he only played 15 seconds of it. It was a big game for Washington, and he didn't even play half-a-minute of the last 14 minutes.
However, the Capitols still won, despite no other player on the team played less than him. However, the NHL star says that it doesn't matter how many minutes he plays.
“It doesn’t matter how many minutes I play,” he said. “Of course I want to be there, but it’s [head coach Dale Hunter's] decision.”
It's alright, Alex, we understand.
But I don't get this.
