A lot of people make a good argument for who is the best point guard in the NBA right now. Most have been favoring Derrick Rose, for his amazing play and also winning the MVP award last season with the No. 1 seed Chicago Bulls.
However, I think it is Chris Paul. The Clippers were terrible last season, and with Paul, they turned into a playoff team. No more were they a laughingstock of a franchise. Along with that, look at the Hornets. Last season, they were the sixth seed in the playoffs with him, and now they are the worst team in the Western Conference with him gone.
D-Rose? Last season with him there, they are the No. 1 seed. Without him this season? They are still the No.1 season. They have so much better of a supporting cast than CP3 has ever been with.
You could also add that to the case of why Paul could be an MVP candidate this year.
