According to Calvin Watkins of ESPN Dallas, Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan will undergo a lap-band procedure; which involves a plastic band being inserted that encircles a patient's stomach, effectively shrinking it and curbing the appetite.
Ryan's brother, Rex who coaches for the Jets, had a similar procedure to fight against his weight-gain and avoid health risks. Rex also said that it helped him land a head coaching job in the Big Apple.
Rob almost had a job as the Atlanta Falcons head coach in 2007, but says that it didn't happened due to his size, as he told the Associated Press a few months ago.
I wish the best of luck to Rob on the procedure, since lap-band can be dangerous at time, costing lives.
