April Fool's Day was a few days ago, but that doesn't stop Joe Flacco from continuing to make jokes.

But all jokes aside, Flacco was serious when he said he was the best quarterback in the NFL:
"I assume everybody thinks they're a top-five quarterback," Flacco said when asked where he thinks he ranks among NFL quarterbacks. "I mean, I think I'm the best. I don't think I'm top five, I think I'm the best. I don't think I'd be very successful at my job if I didn't feel that way. I mean, c'mon? That's not really too tough of a question.

"That doesn't mean that things are going to work out that way. It just means that's the way it is -- that's the way I feel that it is and that's the way I feel it should be."

Honestly, I don't mind the confidence. But there is a fine line between that and being delusional. Flacco hasn't even won a Super Bowl game yet, let alone even been to one. He can't be serious thinking he's even better than the likes of Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, or Phillip Rivers.

Flacco struggled a bit last season when he threw for over 3,600 yards with 20 touchdowns and twelve picks. He would finish with an 81.9 rating, all numbers that took a dip from last season.

In my opinion, I don't think he is even a top-five quarterback. I'd place somewhere in the top-ten. For the 27-year-old soon to be entering his fifth season in the league now, maybe he can get up there.

But at this point, no way he is top-five and it'd be laughable to say he's the best.
