According to Andy Katz of ESPN.com, the SMU Mustangs will interview with Larry Brown for the head coaching job. Last month, they fired Matt Doherty as coach after six years with the team.
Brown was last with the Charlotte Bobcats in 2010 as coach. The 71-year-old has had seven coaching jobs in the NBA since his 1988 championship run with the Kansas Jayhawks.
"I'm not going to be politicking for a job right now," Brown said last month. "I'd like to get back involved in the game in some capacity. Whether that's as a coach, assistant, running a team or just as a resource, I don't care."
It looks to me that he will get it.
