I've been to my share of Indy 500's. Attending my fourth straight, this is probably the wildest one I have seen.

There were many lead changes throughout the race. Really, anybody had a chance, even if you were in last place the whole time.

It also helped their chances with how many crashes there were as well in the race.

In the final lap, Takuma Sato looked to be the underdog winner as he looked to past Dario Franchitti on a turn. However, it failed as Sato crashed, ending his chances of a possible victory in the great spectacle in racing.

Franchitti would finish off the with the victory, winning his third ever, joining the greats.

It was a great day overall for Chip Ganassi Racing. They had Franchitti as the winner along with Scott Dixon finishing right behind him. Tony Kanaan had a chance of winning it before losing his lead in the final laps. TK would end up finishing third in the race.

It was a great ending to a day that honored Dan Wheldon, the winner of last year's Indy 500 who died in a tragic accident.

"Everybody up there was a friend of Dan's, and that about sums it up. Everybody loved him," Franchitti said.

"What a race! What a race! I think D-dub would be proud of that one."

It was a great race. Looking forward to another one!
