Indiana Pacers head coach Frank Vogel was fined on Saturday for $15,000 for his comments about how the referees should officiate the upcoming series against the Miami Heat.
"It'll be very interesting to see how the referees officiate the series and how much flopping they reward," he said.
Vogel continued.
"Every drive to the basket they have guys not making a play on the ball," Vogel said. "But sliding in front of drivers. Often times they're falling down even before contact is even being made. It'll be interesting to see how the series is officiated."
Vogel was looking for his edge against Miami and it might've just been denied. From watching the New York-Miami series, I could obviously tell that the officials were giving Miami the edge. Will that edge even increase more with LeBron James being the newly-crowned MVP? We will find out Sunday and throughout the rest of the series.
This series is full of trash talk from Indiana and just silence from Miami. I can already tell this upcoming series between these two will be a great one.
