After it was reported that New York Knicks point guard Baron Davis had torn ligaments in his knee after his gruesome injury during Game 4 against the Miami Heat, it's being reported that it could end his career.
Davis also had partial tear in his left patella. He injured it in the team's 89-87 victory, staying alive in the NBA Playoffs.
Davis has gone through injuries before, like earlier when he had a possible career-threatening injury in his back. He didn't return until last February.
Since then, he has taken over the starting role over Jeremy Lin and has filled in nicely. This ends his season with 6.1 points and 4.7 assists.
If this ends his career, the 33-year-old will end his 12-year-existence in the league with 16.1 points and 7.2 assists per game, totaling over 13,000 points and 6,025 dishes.
He played for the Hornets, Warriors, Clippers, and Cavaliers as well.
What I'll most remember about the Beardman will be this:
Hope Baron can recover from this. Never want to see anyone leave the league off something bad like this.
