The Los Angeles Lakers have gotten themselves into a tough position, as they blew a 3-1 lead to the Denver Nuggets. With that, they will have to win Game 7 Saturday night to advance to the second round.

Head coach Mike Brown has a lot of pressure for himself for this game, as he could lose his job if he blows this game.

Lakers legend Magic Johnson tells the Los Angeles Times that he doesn't think Brown will last long if he loses Game 7:

“His job will go,” Johnson said. “The Lakers are about championships. That’s what the Lakers are about. if they lose this game, Mike Brown, I bet you, will not be sitting there.”

“Mike Brown will not be coaching the Lakers if they lose this game,” Johnson said. “There would be so much pressure on Jim Buss and the Laker organization to get rid of him.”

Brown has been controversial as of late this season. During the regular season, he made a head-scratching move by benching Kobe Bryant in the fourth quarter, blowing a big lead and the game by doing so. Then there was also the Andrew Bynum incident, losing his respect as well.

Despite it's his first season, I really won't be surprised if the Lakers go ahead and make the move to fire him if he loses to the Nuggets. However, I don't expect it to happen. I don't think Jim Buss will fire him right away and pay him $10 million to do nothing.
