Jason Kidd's career is almost coming to an end and it may as well be this off-season.
According to Sports Illustrated's Chris Mannix, Kidd will force himself to retire unless if he gets a mid-level type offer.
At 40-years-old, Kidd could be at the veteran's minimum or small exception. However, if he gets that, his NBA career will come to an end.
Tweets Mannix:
Kidd averaged 6.2 points, 5.5 assists, and 4.1 rebounds per game this season. His Mavericks currently trail the Oklahoma City Thunder 2-0 in Round One of the NBA Playoffs.
If he doesn't get the offer he wants from Dallas, I wouldn't be surprised if some teams out there are interested enough to sign him to that kind of deal. Miami could be an option if they can't land Steve Nash.

Don't forget, Kidd will be 40 next season. He has won a championship, established himself as one of the great point guards of all-time.
