Barry Bonds hasn't played in the MLB since 2007. He never really retired, as he continued a search for teams looking to sign him after the San Francisco Giants decided not to take him back.

The home-runs leader found nobody and has been in court a while ago for steroids. Now Bonds is planning to get back into baseball, as he wants to work for the Giants again.

From CSNBayArea.com:

Perhaps most intriguing, though, is Bonds' revelation that he has talked with Giants President and CEO Larry Baer about re-joining the club, perhaps as a roving instructor, of some sort, "helping major leaguers (and) minor leaguers" in the Giants' organization.

"My expertise is baseball," he said.

"If you believe that I can contribute and help the organization, then fine. If you don't, fine. I'm just saying it's out there."

Bonds will be up for a Hall of Fame ballot as well this year. We'll see how that goes.
