Mike D'Antoni was fired by the New York Knicks mid-season and now he might want to get back into coaching soon.

According to reports, D'Antoni is interested in the Orlando Magic job if it becomes available.

We all expect Stan Van Gundy to be fired in the next few weeks, which opens the door for D'Antoni to come in and take over Orlando.

Center Dwight Howard wants Brian Shaw or Michael Malone to be his coach, but D'Antoni could bring along a free agent Howard would love to play with.

D'Antoni could sway his former MVP point guard, Steve Nash, to come join him if he were to get the job in Orlando. Nash wants to contend for a title and the possibility of playing with Dwight Howard gives him that chance.

Mike D'Antoni would bring along his infamous Run-N-Gun kind of offense which always is at the top of scoring per season. The possibility of Howard catching lob after lob from Steve Nash has to make D'Antoni giddy.

The question is will Dwight Howard want Mike D'Antoni as his coach?

Howard has been demanding with the Orlando front office asking for Van Gundy to be fired and wanting Brian Shaw or Michael Malone as his new coach. Did Howard mention the possibility of D'Antoni at all?

There are also mentions of D'Antoni not going into coaching until the 2013-14 season due to his son graduating from high school in New York next year. He will probably look to gauge interest from any position with an opening, but if no one calls him up he will stay in New York until the 2013-14 off-season begins.

Orlando looks like it will be a hot bed of news in the upcoming weeks and throughout the off-season.
