It was rumored that Syracuse point guard Dion Waiters received a promise from an NBA team in the draft, which made him cancel all of his remaining workouts.
It was said that it could be the Toronto Raptors at the eighth pick, but general manager Bryan Colangelo declined, although he did say he was one of the top players of their lists.
The other believed team was the Phoenix Suns at No. 13, and that may be it, according to Gery Woelfel of the Journal-Times:

It wouldn't be surprising if it is in fact the Suns. Steve Nash is more than likely to leave this off-season and having a guy like Waiters can help fill the need at point guard then.
