Justin Combs has been receiving a lot of hate for receiving a football scholarship from UCLA. Why?
Well, he is rich because of his dad, who is hip hop star Sean "Diddy" Combs. It also makes some people mad since people in need and can't afford the money can use that scholarship.
However, Justin responded to the folks on Twitter, saying the following:
His mother Misa Hylton Brim defended Justin on Twitter:
I honestly don't see anything wrong with Justin getting a scholarship. The kid earned it. He is an amazing football player, so he got it. Along with that, he had good grades, receiving a reported 3.75 GPA. Now if he was some kid with a 2.3, then I guess the opinion would be different. But, Justin did earn that.
I don't think people should complain about it. Where were they when Romeo got his scholarship to USC a few years ago? Or what about Phil Simms' sons receiving scholarships? If Combs wasn't an athlete and still had a solid GPA to have a scholarship to go there, would you still hate on him?
It doesn't matter if you're rich or not, it's always important to get a scholarship.

My son isn't taking money from a kid who NEEDS. He is on a MERIT BASED scholarship. UCLA has NEED based scholarships too. #ignorance
