When Terrell Suggs said he would return to the gridiron in November from his Achilles tendon injury, many thought he was nuts.

Now the Baltimore Ravens pass-rushing linebacker admits that it is unlikely. Suggs had surgery last month and is now able to walk without crutches. However, his rehab has been slow and there's no way he can return by November.

"We're just going to see where we land," Suggs said Thursday after the team's final minicamp session. "Maybe we were shooting too far. We'll see."

Suggs, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, had 14 sacks last season. This off-season, he injured his Achilles tendon, in which many believe could have happened during a pickup basketball game.

Although a November return is unlikely now, the 29-year-old still sees himself playing in the 2012 season.

"When we did the timetable, you kind of look at the month and I was like, 'Oh, I could be back by then.' But I'm not a doctor," he said. "It feels good now, I guess. I will be in a Baltimore Ravens uniform in 2012. The only question is when."

We'll see how Suggs progresses throughout the year and if he will be in pads sometime during the season.
