Roger Clemens is returning to baseball. According to reports by ESPN, the 50-year-old has signed with Sugar Land Skeeters of the Atlantic League, an independent baseball league.

Clemens was recently coming off perjury trial on which he was found not guilty for back in June.

His agent, Randy Hendricks, says that Clemens still has the arm to this day, as his "fastball was clocked at 87 mph and four pitches were working, so everyone believes he can do it." Hendricks also said that he has been talking about this "for months" with Skeeters manager Garry Gaetti.

"It is a fun thing, and let's just see how he does on Saturday night. That will determine if he pitches for them again," Hendricks said. "Roger wanted to see if he could still do it, and today's workout showed he is ready."

Clemens hasn't pitched in a real game since 2007 with the New York Yankees. This recent news kind of compares to Jose Canseco, who still plays in independent baseball leagues to this day. Clemens has a nice resume already, with 354 wins in 24 seasons under his belt.

He is expected to start this Saturday at home, located at Bridgeport, Connecticut.
